Pages: 1 k9apr Novice Reged: Thu Posts: 24 Loc: Williamsburg, Indiana HF GATEWay       #165 - Thu Jun 16 2005 11:12 AM Edit   Reply   Quote   Quick Reply   Hi All, Well I have the HF Gateway back online on the freq of 10.151Mhz LSB I have been in the middle of a divorce and haven't had time for much Ham Radio and was offline except for mobile for a couple of months now. I just last weekend got all the antenna's back in the air and enjoying the world of Ham Radio again. Anyway, I live in Williamsburg, Indiana now which out in the sticks in Wayne county, and have made this gateway capable of passing weather information the peet bros wx station and fulltime digipeater for the new protocol. So you can view several station fo mine online now. K9APR-3 APRS Digipeater Chesterfield, IN which will be updated to the new protocol tomorrow (6/17/05)W3,INn all stuff will be stripped from it. K9APR-4 APRS Digipeater New Castle, IN which will remain Wide n-N type for the nearable future. K9APR-5 HF Gate/Wx/Digipeater Williamsburg, IN Doing the latest protocol for digipeating. K9APR-9 APRS Mobile K9APR-11 which should be online in month or so at the Henry County EMA office fulltime wx station. K9APR-12 Should come alive an a month or so at Wayne County EMA as soon as I can iron out a few more things. Sorry to hear about your tough times... Our prayers are with you.. Hey we once talked about eproms for MFjs to do APRS...? do you still need some burned or was it that you could get the eproms??? I forget our convo.. I was really going to put up that APRS gateway... on 30 but I run a BBS on 30 and I believe the interference would be great... So i am running that setup on 20 meter packet www.network105.net However... if I can get someone to setup my 30 meter port at their place I would get the equipment to put a Gateway in here... I have a few hams that may put 30 at their place and link to me on 440.. TYhus freeing up 30 meters... Here at my place.. Now is 10.151 the only HFgateway freq??? And it is back to getting on with my life and getting back into Ham Radio. Well no 10.151Mhz LSB isn't the only freq for HF APRS it is the busiest though, the other next popular freq. is 14.103Mhz which seems to have a little acivity on it. you can gate from either freq. your choice. Yes, I have prom burner in Richmond that usually does all my burning. But I do need a new chip burnt for K9APR-4 with the new protocol, it is UIDIGI firmware that is burnt onto it. which makes it real nice, all information is already on the chip doesn't require me to do any program with a computer. And some of my time devoted to ham radio has diminished... However I believe I am back.. I may see whats on 14.103... And see.. I have been running packet on 14.105 a very busy HF Packet user/bbs Net so I can use same station to play on 103.. if I do gate on HF.. All I need is my KAM+v 8.2 Formware correct and no PC??? Can you share settings for a KAM that will do APRS on HF and VHF.... I have not tried the MFJ software on Can you email me the firmware.. I have a few MFJ's piled up here... Thanks.. Keep up the good work.... My Wx station should be more stable on air and more accuarte.. Just set MYGATE as GATE and MYALIAS as ECHO and you should be all set up yes they're is some APRS activity on 14.103 not much but some. Sorry to here about your lost... How many MFJ's do you have laying around? I need another one for yet another digi project. I will send a e-mail to your account with the UIDIGI firmware software.
