I have been able to listen to W9WIN through N9UMJ-R on Echolink in the past, but recently, it's been silent or gives me an error when I attempt to connect.
Is there another option for listening to W9WIN via Echolink? I would really like to be able to keep an ear to the radio when regional weather starts acting up.
Also, when the local repeaters are in formal use for emergency weather, I presume they are disconnected from the W9WIN network -- is that correct? If so, is there any way I can listen in during emergency operations? All I have available at work is the computer, therefore I presume Echolink would be my best option.
Thanks, -Eric.

Eric You should be able to stay connected to the W9WIN system via echolink,It's possible that you may have a time out on connection through your work server, some firewalls will drop connections of little or no activity. You might want to recheck the setup on your echolink software configuration to be sure that there are no timers or other latches set to drop the connection.
I'll check on my end too.
